Lorenzo escribio de esta obra:
"Antes habia una costumbre, en cada cofradia, sacan, una
bara, representando una Imagen de la cofradia, donde pertenece el
Mayordomo quien porta esta estandarte, y la gente besan el Imagen
y responden con una masorca, o un puno de Frijol lo que sea. Esta
obra se llama Limosna. El hombre vestido de Pedrano y las mujeres
vestido de Tz'ununa, con casa pajisas, es costumbre de
antes."
Lorenzo wrote of this painting:
"Before there was a custom in each Cofradia, to make
a short staff representing the image of the Cofradia. This
belongs to the Mayordomo who carries the standard. The
people kiss this Image and respond with an ear of dried corn or a
hand-full of dried beans, whatever they have. This painting is
call Limosna [Alms]. The man is wearing the dress of San
Pedro, and the women are wearing the dress of Tz'ununa. The
houses are straw, the custom in times past."
