Thanks to the help of many
individuals who own paintings by Juan Sisay, I have finally collected
enough photographs of paintings by Juan Sisay that a person can readily
see his style. The first set of paintings were done entirely by Juan
Sisay. He painted for about fifty years starting before 1950 and
continuing until his death in 1989. The second set of paintings were
signed by Sisay as his work, but they were probably done, except for the
signature, entirely by his assistants under his supervision. Sisay
marketed the paintings as his work, but few, if any, of the buyers
realized that they were not done by him. |
